Danny Simpson

Danny went through the academy at Manchester United making his debut for the first team and also appearing in the champions league for the club. Whilst at United Danny had loan spells at Royal Antwerp, Sunderland, Ipswich Town, Blackburn Rovers & Newcastle.
During his time on loan at Sunderland he was a championship winner under Man Utd legend Roy Keane in 2007 and also won it for Newcastle United in 2010. Danny made his move to Newcastle permanent playing over 100 time for the toon. A move to QPR followed again gaining promotion via the playoffs from the championship to the premier league in 2014. A transfer to Leicester materialized and in 2016 Danny and his team mates made history under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri by WINNING the premier league for the club being the first time in their history and playing a key role in the champions defence. The following season seen Leicester competing in the Champions League eventually getting knocked out respectfully at the quarter final stage by Atletico Madrid and being the only English team reaching that stage of the competition.
Danny has never forgotten his roots and where he came from and this was proven to be the case when he turned up at our clubs presentation in 2012 to hand out the kids trophies and signed autographs and took pictures with all the kids.
We’re really proud of Danny’s achievements and hopefully we will see him round the club again soon.
