Players name – Joe Doyle
Club signed for – Burnley FC
Year signed – 2017
Manager – Stuart Ratcliffe / Jamie Bancroft
Joe is a natural born goal scorer, he’s an intelligent player who has great positional sense in the opposition’s penalty area and can score any type of goal, left foot, right foot and extremely good in the air with a great leap, he can sniff out any opportunity and has a great skill of taking advantage and getting his finish. Joe has a great first touch when the balls fired into him and can spin any defender who dares to get tight to him. He works hard for the team by pressing the opposition and is also keen to track back and help his team mates out.
Joe has been at Parkwyddn JFC from u7’s joining the squad at the start 2015/2016 season. His first season was an extremely successful one with Joe playing a massive role in keeping a 100% win ratio in all league games and his goals helping the team reach the cup final which we ended up winning very comfortably. Joe scored a fantastic goal in the final in the first 20 seconds where he brought the ball down out of the air in the outside of his foot and volleyed it in. Joe finished the season with 56 goals in 26 games which is an impressive return.
Joe’s second season at the club has seen the team skip playing in the u8 age group and competing the year age above at u9s against kids 12 months older. Parkwyddn being the only team at their age group to skip a year shows the ability that they have as a team. The step up in age hasn’t effected Joe one bit he has continued to score bags of goals which have all contributed to the team having another extremely successful season which has seen them reach a second successive cup final 2 years on the bounce which will be played at Bury FC, Carrington at the end of May.
Joe has been at a number of different academies over the past two years but spent the majority of is time up at Burnley FC where he has continued his development into a top class footballer.
Joe is extremely competitive, with a winning mentality and this is one of Joe’s main attributes, Joe also practices a lot in his own time and it has shown in his development over the last two years and is now reaping the rewards for it. Joe is totally football mad, he’s always the first at training and the last to go, his parents just can’t get him away from a football, and he’s a natural winner.
As a club we are extremely proud of Joe and what he has achieved so far, he has all the attributes to take him to the top. We will really miss Joe around the place who I hope we will still see around the club as the friendship within this squad is unbreakable and they have made friends for life.
Not only will we miss Joe but we will also miss his family too, a proper sporty family with two of Joe’s older brothers both at other football academies and one of his sisters a netball star too. Both of Joe’s parents have been extremely supportive to all their kids and have always backed every decision we have made as coaches and we will miss you all, good luck to you all in future and we wish you all the best.
