Parkwyddn 5’s Go Again….
Parkwyddn JFC v Luke Parkinson Mon
Josh Main-Quinn aka (JMQ10) (Injured)
And so the first game of the season for the Parkwyddn 5’s arrived tonight…Whilst it was their first actual league game of the season, it was also their last….But not to worry, the season starts again next week….
And so the stage was set, Pitch 6 was lit up ready for kick off at 7:45pm. A late call from JMQ to pull out through injury sent shock through the rest of the team…He still managed to turn up though and support the lads.
The whistle blew and off they went…and so did Rob!! A crushing set of studs of the top of Rob’s foot seen him limping off within minutes. He was gutted….
It wasn’t long and Parkwyddn took the lead, a great goal from Josh Egan. A few great saves from Sam but eventually one got past him to make it level. Sam had a great game keeping many a shot from hitting the back of the net. He’s at home now resting his hands in a milk and honey soak…
From here on in the lead swapped hands a few times until fitness took it’s toll on our lads. Josh Egan picked up a knock eventually leaving the field of play. Lewis put himself about again with a few great chances. Subs were now limited and it was clear to see where the game was heading. The experience of team Luke Parkinson was clear to see as they cleanly passed it between themselves without breaking a sweat. It was no walk in the park though, they knew they had a game tonight. Mike Knox was on fire bagging a Hat Trick. Taylor scored a cheeky goal smashing it left footed into the bottom right hand corner straight from a restart and Lee Marks proved to be his usual tricky self causing no end of problems for the opponents. Kai Randles came on to provide the extra legs and energy towards the end and proved to be a great asset.
The game ended 11-5 with Parkwyddn JFC unfortunately losing the game. But take nothing away from them tonight, they are a team who have played two games, one win and one loss so far. A few games more and this will be a team to be feared, there is no doubt about that…Well done lads…onto the next one!
Scorers were Mike Knox (3), Josh Egan (1), Taylor Parsons (1).
Brilliant, well done lads..
