Parkwyddn Predators U7s take it to the next level winning the Euro Cup! at the Levels football tournament. On a very wet and windy Saturday the boys played with great passion and desire. We worked hard in the group stages winning one and drawing one, into the quarters we faced tough opposition where we needed to be on top form, no let up winning 3 – 1. In the semis it was a local derby against Winton, the lads focused on the task and cruised to a 4 – 0 win. On to the final, nerves, adrenaline and stress played a huge part for the coaches Sam and Matt, the kids were fine and carried on as they did all day, great passing and moving, defending as a team and taking the chances when they came. We ended the tight final 1 – 0 winners and bagged our first trophy. Well done lads and thank you to the parents for sticking out the weather.
Our Parkwyddn U12s Phoenix team are currently looking for players. Players will be Year 7 from September 2019. They will be playing in the Salford and Districts League Division 2. If you have a player interested in joining, please email us at [email protected].
Well done to our U10’s Phoenix for going on and winning their cup final today. A freak goal direct from the keepers kick out put us 1-0 down. The players heads never dropped, they got up and got on….Harley got us back level and although they found themselves in a very hard fought battle, Connor bagged the winner making it 2-1 and a win….The lads have been fantastic all season and winning the cup is nothing more than they deserved. Well done to the coaches, Mike Shepley and Lee Marks for all their hard work and dedication.
Saturday 1st June see the U7’s Eagles play their final against FC Bridgewater at Ayrshire Road. All the lads arrived and were full of excitement for what was going to be one of their toughest challenges of the season. Even though the result didn’t go our way the lads all played superb football on the day. They concentrated on their football with some great passing moves made through out the game looking for their space and where they could be to help their team mates out if they were not on the ball. Even though they were trailing by the end of the first half they did not give up and came back out in the second half determined to show what they can do. Once again working on their passing and playing the ball down the wide positions they kept the second half nice and close. A great shame they could take the victory but they all showed that they have what it takes and are ready to start it all again next season for another go.
