Parkwyddn JFC – The true story of how it all started

We have recently been contacted by one of our clubs founding members, Peter Warburton. Peter was one of four original founding members of the club in the 1960’s creating an open age team and creating the club Parkwyddn FC. Peter and the members originally named the club and started the journey which we proudly continue today. In 1987 Parkwyddn FC became Parkwyddn JFC switching the focus to Junior Football.

Read Peter’s story here, it’s a great read,

From all at Parkwyddn JFC, Peter, thank you very much for providing your story and giving everyone an insight to those early years that sometimes easily get forgotten. This is a great part of our history, something everyone inside or outside the club can read with interest.

Thank you Peter, hopefully you will come over and meet us sometime very soon.

NHS, Our wonderful NHS, We Thank You….

NHS, Our wonderful NHS, We Thank You….

We are all currently going through what is a very tough time. Staying at home, especially with the Easter break and the weather being so nice is such a tough thing to do. It’s not easy staying in the house or garden during these unprecedented times, we are all missing those football mornings, even the early ones!! We all feel hard done by, but the actions we are taking are what will see us get over this terrible pandemic.

That said, as we sit here on this good Friday thinking how difficult this is, please, please spare a thought for those on the front line working for our wonderful NHS saving lives as you read this…. Hour after hour they are there working hard to ensure all or families, friends and loved ones are kept safe.

Parkwyddn JFC would like to extend our sincere gratitude to each and every one of you, please keep going, keep up with the brilliant work you are doing and stay safe. For all of us outside the NHS, please follow the government guidelines, this is so important…let’s work together to ensure the burden on the NHS and all of it’s team are kept to a minimum, we all can help…..

STAY SAFE, PROTECT THE NHS, SAVE LIVES

Unfortunately the club has taken the decision to follow the FA’s guidelines and suspend all activities this includes training and friendly games. As soon as we can resume we will. Thank you for your continued support through this period of uncertainty. The club aim to keep you as informed as we can regarding grassroots football and the ongoing changes to the Covid-19 advice from Public Health and The Football Association
